Text Crafting Techniques

Installation Guidelines for
Braille Signage
For proper visibility and compliance, Braille signs should be installed as follows:
Les panneaux de projection au plafond ou au mur doivent mesurer au moins 80 pouces du bas du panneau au sol.
Les panneaux doivent être placés de manière à ce que les caractères braille se trouvent entre 48 et 60 pouces au-dessus du sol, mesurés à partir de la ligne de base du caractère tactile le plus élevé.
Braille Sign Fonts / Standard
Les points braille doivent être en forme de dôme et non plats ou irréguliers.
Le braille doit être situé au moins 3/8 de pouce (9,5 mm) sous le texte correspondant et au-dessus de toute bordure ou élément décoratif.
Les caractères peuvent être majuscules ou minuscules, mais jamais en italique, cursifs, décoratifs ou trop gras.
Les panneaux ADA doivent utiliser
une police sans empattement.
